Certificate in the Fundamentals of Music Therapy

Participants will acquire basic skills for clinical practice of neurologic music therapy, learn about latest research studies and clinical trials results worldwide using music therapy for various clinical cases. They will be able to describe protocols and applications of every technique to specific pathologies according to the therapeutic objectives, as well as using clinical evaluations to recognize the need and potential benefits of neurologic music therapy in a clinical case. Participants will be able to answer questions on neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of basic pathologies involved in various neurological diseases and the basic musical theory features that are used by musicians in the therapy sessions.

The total duration of the course is 15 hours. The onsite unit (6 hours) is comprised of techniques used in music therapy and lectures by WCM-Q faculty and experts from the field. The self-study unit including an end of activity exam (9 hours) will consist of modules that will be available on the learning management system. • Name changes or substitutions are not permitted.

• We will attempt to process the refund within 30 days of receiving any cancellation request.
