Overview

Activity Code: API-02-P288

This one-day workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to using STATA for both introductory and advanced statistical analysis. The material will cover the following topics:

1- Introduction to STATA: Computing summary statistics (mean, median, interquartile range, minimum, maximum, standard deviation, and frequency distributions) and creating graphical displays (histograms, pie charts, bar charts, boxplots, and scatter plots).

2- Analysis of Continuous Outcomes: Including one-sample t-test, paired- and independent-samples t-test, as well as confidence intervals for a single mean and for the difference between two means.

3- Analysis of Dichotomous Outcomes: Including proportion tests, binomial test, chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, and McNemar's test.

4- Regression Analysis: Introduction to univariable and multivariable linear and logistic regression models. Case studies will be included throughout the workshop, with step-by-step guidance provided to support hands-on learning.

NOTE: Participants are required to have a laptop.
