Overview
In this symposium, we reflect on and discuss how to foster professionalism in diverse learning environments. We will explore the use of coaching skills to promote and remediate professionalism lapses in a multicultural context. The symposium will consist of live didactics led by medical educators and experts in the field and will include interactive sessions to enable in-depth discussion and deliberate practice. Attendance at the previous webinar series on professionalism in diverse learning environments is not a prerequisite. Those who have attended the webinars will find this to be an engaging follow-up activity that build on themes explored in the webinars as well.

Overall Learning Objective
  1. 1- Examine how the perception of professionalism and professionalism Identity formation can vary in diverse learning environments.
  2. 2- Apply culturally adept coaching skills in interacting with learners.
  3. 3- Discuss professionalism assessment.
  4. 4- Develop an individualized remediation plan that is co-produced with the learner.
