Overview

This is the second level of a 3-workshop series aimed at enabling health care professionals (HCP) to organize and analyze their data and properly interpret and summarize it. Biostatistical concepts will be explained through case studies using a statistical software such as IBM-SPSS.

NOTE: Participants are required to have a laptop with SPSS software downloaded. 

Certificate

An anonymous evaluation will be conducted online. All participants are required to complete the Evaluation Form in order to qualify for a certificate of attendance.

If you wish to receive a certificate of completion “Certificate in the Analysis of Medical Data”, you are required to complete the three workshops (Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced Applied Biostatistics for Health Care Professionals) and pass the test at the end of each activity.

Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. 1- Fit a linear regression to examine the relationship between a numeric dependent variable and one or more independent variables.
  2. 2- Fit a logistic regression to examine the relationship between a dichotomous dependent variable and one or more independent variables.
  3. 3- Test for interaction in regression.
  4. 4- Assess confounding in regression.

    • You are required to show the Ehteraz App with a Golden frame around the GREEN QR code as proof of vaccination. 
    • Alternatively, you can present a printed copy of the official COVID-19 vaccination certificate if Ehteraz status is not updated yet.
    • If you have not completed your vaccination, you can access the building by showing a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test less than seven days old and GREENEhteraz.
