Overview

This is the first in a series of 3 workshops aimed at enabling health care professionals (HCP) to organize and analyze their data and properly interpret and summarize it. The workshop will be applied in nature where biostatistical concepts will be explained through case studies using a statistical software such as IBM-SPSS.

NOTE: Participants are required to have a laptop with SPSS software downloaded. 

Certificate

An anonymous evaluation will be conducted online. All participants are required to complete the Evaluation Form in order to qualify for a certificate of attendance.

If you wish to receive a certificate of completion “Certificate in the Analysis of Medical Data”, you are required to complete the three workshops (Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced Applied Biostatistics for Health Care Professionals) and pass the test at the end of each activity.

Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. 1- Use IBM SPSS to enter, code and manage data
  2. 2- Summarize variables both in numbers and graphs
  3. 3- Use IBM SPSS to apply basic analysis of numeric outcomes and categorical outcomes

- You can register either for the online OR the face-to-face session with NO possible changes.

- Those who register for the ONLINE session will receive a UNIQUE join link on the day of the activity.

- For those who register for the FACE-TO-FACE session, please take note of the building protocols currently followed at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar.

  • You are required to show the Ehteraz App with a Golden frame around the GREEN QR code as proof of vaccination. 
  • Alternatively, you can present a printed copy of the official COVID-19 vaccination certificate if Ehteraz status is not updated yet.
  • If you have not completed your vaccination, you can access the building by showing a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test less than seven days old and GREEN Ehteraz.
  • Wear masks at all times.
  • Follow social distancing guidelines, currently 1 meter spacing is required.

Changes or Cancellations

  • Name changes or substitutions are not permitted.

  • We will attempt to process the refund within 30 days of receiving any cancellation request.
