Overview

This is the first level of a 3-workshop series aimed at enabling health care professionals (HCP) to organize and analyze their data and properly interpret and summarize it. The workshop will be applied in nature where biostatistical concepts will be explained through case studies using a statistical software such as IBM-SPSS.

NOTE: Participants are required to have a laptop with SPSS software downloaded. 

Certificate

An anonymous evaluation will be conducted online. All participants are required to complete the Evaluation Form in order to qualify for a certificate of attendance.

If you wish to receive a certificate of completion “Certificate in the Analysis of Medical Data”, you are required to complete the three workshops (Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced Applied Biostatistics for Health Care Professionals) and pass the test at the end of each activity.

Overall Learning Objective
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. 1- Use IBM SPSS to enter, code and manage data
  2. 2- Summarize variables both in numbers and graphs
  3. 3- Use IBM SPSS to apply basic analysis of numeric outcomes and categorical outcomes

Changes or Cancellations

  • Name changes or substitutions are not permitted.

  • For a full refund of the registration fee, the cancellation request must be received at least 7 days prior to the session. No refund will be offered for cancellation request thereafter.
