Overview
This workshop will detail the scholarly publishing process in health care research. Participants will learn how to properly structure a manuscript and adhere to journal guidelines within the scholarly arena as well as appraise and identify the most appropriate academic journals and venues suitable for publishing a paper. Additional activities will include using scholarly publishing instruments and metrics to document and promote a particular publication.

Professions - Allied Health Practitioner, Dentist, Nurse, Pharmacist, Physician

Overall Learning Objective
  1. Describe the scholarly publishing process.
  2. Prepare a manuscript suitable for publication.
  3. Appraise the appropriateness of journals and other venues for publishing a particular paper.
  4. Employ scholarly publishing instruments and metrics to document and promote your publication.

Registration

Registration Fees:  QAR  50 or USD 14

The registration closes ONE day before the activity.

Changes or Cancellations

  • Name changes or substitutions are not permitted.

  • All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing and submitted via email to [email protected]

  • For a full refund of the registration fee, the cancellation request must be received at least 7 days prior to the session. No refund will be offered for cancellation request thereafter.

  • We will attempt to process the refund within 30 days of receiving any cancellation request.

  • Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar reserves the right to cancel the course. In the event of a cancellation, fee deposit will be returned, but we will not be responsible for any other expenses including restricted or non-refundable airfare or hotel deposits.

This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Ministry of Public Health's Department of Healthcare Professions-Accreditation Section and is approved for a maximum of 3.5 hours.
