Overview

In this series, the speaker will present the concept of both summary and inferential statistics. He will explain, with examples from the literature, how to interpret those statistics. Concepts to be discussed are means, medians, inter-quartile ranges, standard deviations, odds ratio, relative risk, confidence intervals and p-value. He will explain how to use confidence intervals to make decisions and will discuss the difference between accuracy and precision in research.
