Overview
This 6 session series will focus on six key aspects of medication safety based on recommendations from the gap analysis survey conducted in 2021 and post activity evaluation following the previous workshop in 2022. These aspects are: Introduction of the Key Concepts, Root Causes, Polypharmacy and De-prescribing, Medicines Reconciliation, High Risk Medication and Medication Safety Strategies in the future. During the sessions, presenters from the four disciplines of Medicine, Pharmacy, Allied health and Nursing, will lead interactive lectures covering the focus areas.

Overall Learning Objective
  1. 1- Outline the main concepts of medication safety.
  2. 2- Analyze the root causes of medication errors and propose preventive measures.
  3. 3- Discuss the integration of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in medication management.
  4. 4- Construct ways to minimize the risk of polypharmacy in primary care.
  5. 5- Outline risk factors for adverse drug events and medication errors.
  6. 6- Outline strategies to reduce medication safety incidences at interfaces of care (admission, transfer and discharge).

The registration closes ONE day  before the activity. You will receive a UNIQUE  link to join the webinar on the day of the presentation.

Changes or Cancellations

  • Name changes or substitutions are not permitted.

  • For a full refund of the registration fee, the cancellation request must be received at least 7 days prior to the session. No refund will be offered for cancellation request thereafter.
  • We will attempt to process the refund within 30 days of receiving any cancellation request.
