Dr. Nora Al Jefairi, was the first native Qatari female cardiologist and electrophysiologist. She was awarded with a scholarship award from the Ministry of Education to study Medicine in Bahrain and obtained her Bachelor in Basic Science (BSc) and Medical Doctor (MD) from the Arabian Gulf University in 2004 and 2006 respectively. 

After 2 years of practicing general medicine in Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) upon her return to Qatar, she was sponsored by HMC to study General Cardiology at Geneva University Hospital in 2009 in Switzerland. She was trained and certified as a Swiss cardiologist by FMH (Swiss Medical Association FMH) in 2011. In 2013, she was a Fellow in Electrophysiology at Geneva University Hospital. Professor Francois Mach, the Head of Cardiology in Geneva University Hospital certified her as one of the best fellows in the Cardiology Department to be trained over the past 10 years, demonstrating great willpower, seriousness and a professional attitude towards all patients and medical staff.

In 2014, Dr. Al Jefairi moved to Bordeaux, France to one of the best referral Centers of Excellence in Electrophysiology and Research in Europe for further electrophysiology training and research work. She completed electrophysiology training and obtained an awarded PhD from the University of Bordeaux in 2018, entitled: Leads to improve atrial fibrillation ablation, catheters, imaging and mapping guidance for the very high quality of the written and oral presentations of the research work, the perfect example of a scientific approach and control over the complex data used. She has appeared in 20 publications. 

Dr. Al Jefairi is a member of the Swiss Society of Cardiology (SSC) and European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA).
